Description

IGF-1 DES (Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 DES 1-3)
What it does:
IGF-1 DES (Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 DES 1-3) is a modified, truncated form of IGF-1 designed to have enhanced potency at the injection site. By binding to IGF-1 receptors, it promotes cellular growth, muscle cell proliferation, and tissue repair. Compared to standard IGF-1, the DES variant has reduced binding to IGF binding proteins, allowing for stronger localized activity and rapid stimulation of muscle hypertrophy.

Normal Applications:
IGF-1 DES is primarily used in research settings and experimental performance protocols focused on muscle growth and recovery. Due to its short half-life and strong localized effects, it is often administered immediately before or after training to target specific muscle groups. It is not FDA-approved for general medical use outside of research environments.

Common Side Effects:
Potential side effects may include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), headaches, fatigue, dizziness, and localized swelling at the injection site. Because IGF-1 influences cell growth and insulin sensitivity, improper use may increase risks associated with abnormal tissue growth or metabolic imbalance. Careful monitoring of blood glucose levels is advised.

Administration Recommendations & Ideal Dosages:
IGF-1 DES is typically administered via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection. Research and performance-based protocols commonly range from 20–100 mcg per day, often divided into site-specific injections. Due to its short half-life, timing around workouts is common. Cycles are generally kept conservative, and use should be approached with caution due to limited long-term safety data. Proper reconstitution, storage, and sterile technique are essential.
