Description

What it does:

Arimidex (Anastrozole) is a potent aromatase inhibitor (AI) that prevents the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. It is used to control estrogen-related side effects such as water retention and gynecomastia during anabolic steroid cycles. By lowering estrogen levels, it helps maintain a lean, dry appearance and enhances muscle definition.

Normal Applications:

Originally developed for treating estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women, Arimidex is commonly used by bodybuilders to manage estrogen levels during and after cycles involving aromatizing steroids like testosterone, Dianabol, or Deca-Durabolin.

Common Side Effects:

Arimidex can cause side effects associated with low estrogen, including joint pain, decreased libido, mood swings, and cholesterol imbalance. Over-suppression of estrogen may also hinder muscle growth and recovery, making dosing accuracy important. It may reduce HDL (good) cholesterol levels.

Administration Recommendations & Ideal Dosages:

Typical doses range from 0.25–1 mg every other day, depending on the estrogenic load of the cycle. Bloodwork is recommended to fine-tune dosing. Arimidex is not typically used during PCT, as estrogen plays a role in recovery. It may be tapered off at the end of a cycle to avoid estrogen rebound.
