Description
Aromasin (Exemestane)
What it does:
Aromasin (Exemestane) is a powerful aromatase inhibitor (AI) that reduces estrogen levels by permanently deactivating the aromatase enzyme. It is highly effective for managing estrogen-related side effects like gynecomastia, bloating, and water retention during anabolic steroid cycles. Because it’s a suicidal inhibitor, it has a lower risk of estrogen rebound compared to other AIs.
Normal Applications:
Originally developed to treat estrogen-dependent breast cancer, Aromasin is now commonly used by bodybuilders and athletes using aromatizing steroids. It helps maintain a lean, dry physique and reduces estrogenic side effects while also supporting testosterone levels post-cycle.
Common Side Effects:
Potential side effects include joint discomfort, fatigue, mood swings, lowered libido, and reduced HDL cholesterol. Because Aromasin is more suppressive than some other AIs, improper dosing may lead to overly low estrogen levels, which can negatively affect muscle growth and well-being.
Administration Recommendations & Ideal Dosages:
Typical dosages range from 12.5–25 mg every other day depending on the steroid cycle and estrogen sensitivity. It is often used throughout a cycle and tapered off near the end. Bloodwork is advised to dial in optimal dosing. Aromasin can also play a role in PCT protocols when needed.
